It is also used to make inks and solvents, cosmetic intermediates, pigments and dyes, polyurethanes, unsaturated polyester resin (UPR), polyester fiber, as a solvent and humectant in the textile industry, in industrial soaps, hydraulic fluids, brake fluids, etc. among others.
