Citric Acid

It is used as a flavoring and pH regulator in beverages. Acidulant and pH regulator in sweets, preserves and caramels. Prevents oxidation of processed vegetables, in combination with ascorbic acid. In frozen foods, it stops the process of flavor and color deterioration and helps the action of antioxidants. It is also used in the manufacture of fragrances and cleaning products.
